HOW DO I GET THE truerewards APP?
Visit your app store, search for “True North,” download and install. Register your account, and then be sure to allow Location Services and Notifications to take advantage of all the savings, discounts, and freebies the app has to offer.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TRUE NORTH MOBILE APP AND truerewards?
Customers can download the True North mobile app, but to take advantage of all fuel and in-store savings, signing up for truerewards in the app is easy.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DOWNLOAD THE APP, BUT DON’T REGISTER FOR THE truerewards PROGRAM?
Users can download the app and sign-in to take advantage of special coupons and app exclusive offers, but to take advantage of fuel savings from truerewards users would need to register or sign into the loyalty portion of truerewards.

IF I HAVE AN EXISTING SHELL FUEL REWARDS® ACCOUNT, DO I STILL SAVE .5¢/GALLON ON EVERY FILL-UP IF I AM ALSO A truerewards MEMBER?
Yes! As a Shell Fuel Rewards® member, you save .5¢/gal and as a truerewards member, you save .5¢/gal. Members of both can save at least .10¢/gal on every fill-up. Both Shell Fuel Rewards® and truerewards accounts must be linked.
HOW WILL I EARN CENTS OFF ON truerewards?
Customers will be able to earn cents off on in-store purchases at a truenorth store with Shell branded fuel. Shell Fuel Rewards® members can earn additional fuel savings depending on their Platinum, Gold, or Silver tier status. BPme Rewards is currently not supported by truerewards fuel savings.
CAN I GIVE THE CASHIER MY ALT ID OR PHONE NUMBER TO APPLY FUEL SAVINGS TO MY ACCOUNT?
Yes. Enter your ALT ID. This way you can earn fuel savings and then complete the transaction with your preferred payment method.
I HAVE A truerewards ACCOUNT BUT DIDN’T HAVE THE TRUE NORTH APP OR MY PHONE WITH ME WHEN I MADE A PURCHASE. CAN I STILL EARN REWARDS?
Yes. To take advantage of fuel savings, enter your ALT ID at the pump or in-store at the register during the point of purchase. Customers must have their mobile app to use any member exclusive coupons.
HOW DO I USE MY FUEL SAVINGS TO LOWER MY PRICE AT THE PUMP?
At a participating truenorth and Shell station, enter your ALT ID. if you pay inside, present one of these methods to the attendant.
DO I HAVE TO ACCUMULATE $25 ALL IN ONE TRANSACTION TO EARN THE .5¢/GALLON REWARD?
No. Spending is cumulative, so you do not have to spend $25 in one visit. Every time you shop at truenorth stores, by entering your ALT ID at the point of purchase, your balance will count toward earning your next reward (*some exclusions apply). *All fuels, cigarettes, other tobacco products (OTP), lottery, money orders, prepay card and donations are excluded from your purchase balance and earning rewards.
IS THERE A GALLON LIMIT WITH truerewards
Yes, there is a 20-gallon limit.
HOW MUCH CAN I SAVE ON EACH FILL-UP?
There is no maximum! Some stations set a minimum payment level, and all stations are limited to 20 gallons. So, if you have $1.50 in fuel savings, then you can save a maximum of $30 ($1.50 x 20 gallons) on your fill-up.
I PURCHASED FUEL USING truerewards, WHY DOES MY DISCOUNT NOT SHOW ON MY RECEIPT?
Discounts are typically applied before you pump fuel, so the price per gallon rolls back the amount of the discount(s). Because the price rolls back, a discount is not shown on the receipt.
DO FUEL SAVINGS EARNED THROUGH THE truerewards PROGRAM HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE?
Yes, fuel savings expire 30 days after the reward is earned.
CAN I REGISTER FOR truerewards WITHOUT DOWNLOADING THE APP?
Currently, no. You must download the app to sign up and register for truerewards. Having the app gives the full experience of saving at the pump and access to in-app exclusive offers as a truerewards member.
WHY DOES THE truenorth APP ASK FOR MY LOCATION INFORMATION?
Your location information is needed to locate the truenorth store nearest to you to make your search quick and easy while providing you with exclusive offers.
HOW DO YOU USE MY PERSONAL AND PURCHASE INFORMATION?
truerewards members will receive a Free Any Size truebrew Coffee or trueoasis Fountain drink on their birthday.

I EARNED A COUPON; HOW DO I USE IT?
To use a coupon, follow these simple steps:
Open the truerewards app, Go To Offers select the coupon(s) you want to use by selecting Tap to Scan. Once you have tapped your coupon, you can Redeem the Coupon at the bottom of your screen. You will be asked to make sure you want to use that coupon. It is best to tap the Redeem button when you are at the register. Choose Yes, I am sure.
Once you have the cashier scan your Barcode, the coupon will be applied to your order. Coupons on the Offers page will remain active until the coupon expires or it is used successfully.
I TRIED TO USE A COUPON, BUT IT WAS NOT ACCEPTED.
If the coupon is not accepted, customers can submit feedback directly from the app. When redeeming that same coupon, Choose an option on the Coupon not accepted screen and Submit Feedback.
I HAVE MULTIPLE COUPONS; CAN I APPLY MULTIPLE TO ONE PURCHASE?
Certain coupons have limited use and restrictions. These restrictions can be found on the coupon in-app.
DO MY COUPONS EXPIRE?
Certain coupons expire and disappear after single use. Each coupon will show how many uses are available or if it is a single use coupon.
ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL OFFERS FOR TOBACCO AND ALCOHOL?
There are exclusive tobacco and alcohol offers available in the app for those that are 21+. For those that do not yet have the app, download from the Apple App or Google Play Store. After the app is downloaded select Over 21 Offers. Complete a one-time age verification. Tobacco and alcohol offers will be displayed. Select any offers you would like to use and follow the prompts.
DO I NEED A PHYSICAL CARD TO REDEEM REWARDS?
No. There is no physical plastic card for truerewards.
